You’re about to leave for an overnight Spa stay with your friends. You don’t know what to do with yourself, and you’ve forgotten how to pack for yourself.

Soon you will be able to hear your own thoughts and have so much free time that you won’t know what to do with yourself.

Obviously, you will partially miss your children.

You will probably have feelings of guilt for leaving them behind, however, it has been so long since you had time for you, and you cannot wait for the break. The luxury to not have anyone hanging off your body, and for one day you will be known as something other than mummy.

Even to have the opportunity to complete a conversation without being interrupted feels like a dream come true.

Here are the essential items that we feel that you should be taking on your overnight spa trip.

  • Purse/wallet (especially containing bank cards, ID and money)
  • Phone 
  • Phone charger 
  • Headphones (if you wish to listen to music or a podcast)
  • Books
  • Magazines
  • Water (they should supply, however, you may wish to have your own bottle to carry around with you)
  • Snacks (if you are staying overnight, then bring some snacks with you to have between meals)
  • Pyjamas
  • Underwear
  • Swimwear (two costumes if using the Spa for two days or having further treatments)
  • Towel (if staying in a hotel they might provide this also)
  • Dressing gown (if staying at a hotel, then they might provide this also, or the Spa will likely have some available)
  • A bag to use at the spa to carry around belongings (maybe consider this to be waterproof)
  • Plastic bags for wet clothes
  • Face cloth 
  • Face wash
  • Body and face cream 
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste 
  • Sanitary products 
  • Make up 
  • Glasses/contact lenses 
  • Hair products (shampoo/conditioner)
  • Hairbrush 
  • Flip flops/sliders (appropriate footwear)
  • Comfortable day clothes e.g. Loungewear
  • Gym clothes (if you are looking to exercise whilst at the Spa)
  • Trainers (if you are looking to exercise whilst at the Spa)
  • Evening clothes (if you are eating at restaurant in the evening)
