This article is about keeping the house organised with a toddler.
A short fairy tale.
Once upon a time there was a beautifully tired mother who tried to clean up with a clingy toddler.
She put something away, the toddler took it out, she tried to clean the floor, the toddler threw food back onto the floor and she tried to put the clothes away and the toddler took them out.
In fact, the toddler followed her all day throughout the house and even prevented her from going to the toilet alone.
The tired mother stopped trying to clean the house, sat down and clung to the toddler.
They spent the whole day clung together until she put the toddler to bed. The tired mother then spent the evening staying up far too late scrolling her phone and watching mind numbing TV until the next day.
The next morning, her toddler woke up and clung to her again.
They all lived happily ever after that day and the house remained a mess. The End.
So, for all the working mothers out there trying to get organised with a toddler, it is likely that you will hardly get anything done.
Although toddlers are small, they are capable of great things and can leave a trail of destruction. It is ok if you can’t get anything done. If you’re able to get something done, then great, but if you aren’t, then that is fine too.
Sometimes the toddlers are just too powerful.
And that is fine.
