An extremely powerful and insightful film which shows the magic of what can happen when you have someone who believes in you.
2. Legally Blonde, 2001, PG-13 (UK 12+)
Legally Blonde is the story of a young woman called Elle Woods.
She is determined to make it in a world where she is not taken seriously. Others may not see her full potential; however, she never stops believing in herself.
Furthermore, she follows her dreams wearing pink whilst being her authentic self. What is there not to love about this movie?
3. The Pursuit of Happyness, 2006, PG-13 (UK 12A)
Get your tissues out ready for this film.
This film is about a father and son who find themselves homeless. This film follows the journey of what a father will go through in order to support his son. This film is the definition of not giving up.
Even when the father has nothing, he never gives up.
He persists and continues despite not knowing the outcome.
He does not lose hope and never quits.

4. The Greatest Showman, 2017, PG (UK PG)
Follows a young poor orphan boy who has big dreams.
As an adult he manages to achieve his goals and manages to create one of the Greatest Shows the World has seen. However, in the process of living his dream he starts to lose sight of what is most important.
In the end he has to decide between chasing greatness versus the love of his family.
5. King Richard, 2021, PG-13 (UK 12A)
This film is based on a true story.
King Richard is the father of Serena and Venus Williams. This film walks through how they were raised and trained by their father to become two of the Greatest Tennis Players this world has ever seen.
Nothing their father did was by accident.
He had planned their success years before it had even occurred. He trusted in his process and believed in his children.
The outcome was greatness.
6. Joy, 2015, PG-13 (UK 12A)
This film is inspired by a true story
It is about a woman called Joy who was frustrated with her current life circumstances. This frustration drove her to invent something unique. On the journey to making this product great she faced may obstacles.
Despite multiple obstacles thrown her way, she continued to believe in herself and follow her dream without holding back.

In all of these films the main character has had a hurdle that they have had to overcome.
