This article is about Father’s Day songs.

With Father’s Day quickly approaching, here at Mamo & Mono, we want to share some of our favourite Father’s Day songs to show our appreciation to all the wonderful fathers in our lives.

This article is for all the fathers who work hard for their families, the fathers who double up as taxi drivers, the exhausted fathers and for all the fathers who continue to be there for their families no matter what.

Fathers are so important in a child’s life. They are their child’s first role model, and the first older male figure they look up to when they are small.

The unconditional love and support provided by fathers is truly something that cannot be replaced.

Our Father’s Day playlist may be short, but it is full of beautiful and sentimental songs. Some touch on the father daughter relationship, others about the father and son bond, some lyrics describe what it is like for a father to be in the presence of their newborn baby for the very first time. We also have a song which relates to those who sadly no longer have fathers in their lives.

From all of us here at Mamo & Mono, we want to thank all the fathers who consistently show up for their children. You are amazing and very much appreciated.

Below is the article ‘5 Heart-Warming Songs to Dedicate to Your Dad on Father’s Day’.

1. Daddy – Beyonce

This song is from Beyonce’s first solo album.

She sings about her relationship with her father, about how she is a daddy’s girl, the special bond she shared with her father and how their relationship has changed over time.

Father’s have such an impact on their child’s life and even their future adult life.

This song is an example of the impact of a strong father daughter relationship, as it is clear that Beyonce still cherishes all the memories shared with her father.

Beyonce sings that she wants all the future males in her life to be like her father. He has had such positive influence on her life that she wants to be around people like him for the rest of her life.

This song is a beautiful tribute to her father and everything that he did for when she was a child and into adulthood.

2. Isn’t She Lovely – Stevie Wonder

This song was originally written by Stevie Wonder about the birth of his daughter.

In one song he sums up what a privilege and blessing it is to be a new father. Yes, it comes with a lot of responsibility, but what blessing it is. The birth of a child is life changing.

The minute a man becomes a father his life is changed forever, suddenly, he must put someone else before himself.

The birth of your child is just the beginning of a long exciting, beautiful and crazy journey.

This song is full of joy, and it is so wonderful to hear how beautiful he feels that his daughter is. It is so important for the self-esteem of a young girl that they are complimented and loved unconditionally before they are released into the big wide world.

This song is the perfect was to honour the birth of your child. We absolutely love this song here at Mamo & Mono.

3. Dance With My Father – Luther Vandross

In this song Luther Vandross (who has sadly passed away) sings about wanting to be able to dance with his dearly departed father one more time.

This song is extremely emotional and will have tears falling from your eyes. This is often the song of choice for father-daughter songs at weddings. This song is the definition of life is short. One minute you have those who you love the most around all the time, and then one day out of nowhere they are no longer there.

This song reminds us that we need to appreciate those closest to us whilst we still have the opportunity.

This song is dedicated to all the fathers and father figures that are no longer in our lives.

For the ones who we loved and lost and the ones who we never got to spend time with.

What beautiful memories Luther Vandross had with his father and what a beautiful tribute to his father.

4. Just The Two of Us – Will Smith

This song is about Will Smith’s relationship with his son.

He sings about how he is determined to be a good father and role model for his son. This song touches on how their relationship has grown over time, and how Will Smith will always be there for his son no matter what.

It is obvious from this song that he has unconditional love for his son, will do everything in his power to be there for him and will stop at nothing to be able to provide him with the best life.

To all the fathers who aspire to be the best father that you can, we are so thankful for all your efforts.

Your children will benefit for a lifetime.

5. A Song For Dad (Father’s Day Song by Gracie’s Corner) – Gracie’s Corner
